About Me
As a BACP Registered Person-Centred Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I offer a warm and supportive space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and accepted without judgement. I work in an integrative way that is tailored to you as an individual, helping you explore life’s challenges at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Whether we meet in person in my private therapy room in Worthing or online from the comfort of your own home, my aim is to provide a calm and secure environment where healing, self-understanding, and personal growth can begin.
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing often comes through feeling safely connected to another person. Together, we will focus on what feels most important to you, building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel able to speak openly and honestly about your experiences.
A Safe Space for Healing
"The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help."
– Irvin D. Yalom.
Areas of support
Counselling for Anxiety in Worthing and Online
Living with anxiety can be exhausting. Your mind may constantly anticipate the worst, leaving you feeling tense, overwhelmed or unable to relax. Anxiety can affect sleep, relationships, confidence, work and everyday life.
Together we can explore not only your symptoms but also what may lie beneath them. Rather than simply learning ways to manage anxiety, therapy can help you understand where it comes from and develop a healthier relationship with yourself.
Bereavement Counselling in Worthing, West Sussex
Grief affects everyone differently. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there is no time limit on loss.
Whether you have lost a partner, parent, child, friend or someone else important in your life, counselling offers a compassionate space to process your grief without pressure to “move on” or be anything other than where you are.
Trauma Counselling in Worthing and Online Counselling UK
Trauma can continue to affect us long after the event has passed. It may leave you feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected or constantly on alert.
Working gently and at your own pace, we can begin to understand how past experiences may still be influencing your present and support your nervous system to feel safer over time.
Self-Esteem and Confidence Counselling
Many people live with an inner critic that tells them they are not good enough.
Together we can explore where these beliefs developed, understand how they continue to affect your life today, and begin to build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ Affirmative Counselling in Worthing and Online
I welcome and value diversity in all its forms and strive to provide an inclusive space where everyone feels respected and accepted.
Whether you identify as LGBTQ+, are neurodivergent, or are exploring aspects of your identity, therapy should be somewhere you never feel you have to explain or justify who you are.
What Happens During the First Counselling Session?
Beginning counselling can feel daunting.
Our introductory session is an opportunity for us to meet, talk about what has brought you to counselling and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. It also gives you the chance to decide whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.
There is no expectation to share everything immediately. We work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Therapy Room
My therapy room in Worthing is a calm, quiet and private space designed to help you feel safe, comfortable, and at ease. My hope is that it offers you a peaceful environment where you feel able to slow down, reflect, and begin exploring whatever may be troubling you at your own pace.
